Probably just a flavor of T7332? I think the non-realtime counts (e.g., after page load) have been accurate for me.
It should, just not real time.

maybe mentions should always be aware of their context and prioritize users appropriately (subscribers of a task, members of a project, etc etc).
In the case of Conpherence there should be IMHO 3 "lists" considered for prioritized mentions:
- most recent active users in the channel, so replying to one of the the latest message with a mention is straight-forward
- members of the channel
- global user list

Would also like to see "/here" in Conpherence send a notification to all users in the current room.
I have to type @epri and @amck to find you both, and it's my most common mention.
This should probably work globally on any object.
I think we should remove the CAN_JOIN. If you can see it, you can join it. I don't see any parallel in Slack and looks like there are mods that add it forceably by kicking you off a channel if you leave a message. lulz.

These CSS rules:
Feb 22 2017
Persistent chat was originally a separate column (so it didn't overlap with anything on the page) but was brought into the main page recently.
Feb 14 2017
(Or we should just remove CAN_JOIN -- is there any actual use case for read-only rooms? If there is, shouldn't users still be able to join those rooms in order to follow them, just not send messages?)
A related issue is that CAN_EDIT does not imply CAN_JOIN, so users with CAN_EDIT but no CAN_JOIN can get a policy error while trying to join.

It's just a plain text field, not a remarkup box.

See also T7787 for plans to support existing !cc stuff from arc on the CLI.
(This doesn't really follow the rules as a feature request because it's just 35 copies of "other systems implement it so you should too", but I think it's something we would probably implement anyway sooner or later so I'm fine with keeping it open.)

You are right, I also can't reproduce it on the Phacility instance. I really don't know what do do next ^^
Please take the time to try to reproduce the issue on a Phacility instance, and report back if you can. We have not been able to reproduce the issue with these set up steps. Reproduction steps must includes everything we need to review and fix the issue locally.

Ah thanks, I was concerned there was an actual bug - not just a questionable design decision. This isn't easy to fix, and may lead to a completely different design to resolve - we'll keep this open to see how many people run into it.
The blue group icon does hide the box. It didnt occur to me to try that, as it is not inside the box frame. I did look at the + beside participants, but guessed correctly that was only add.

If you have an exact Android version/browser I should test, let me know. We can also just make this smarter if you left it open on desktop (it should be off by default).
This is expected, either we have full remarkup, or we don't. T3278 covers the general infrastructure work needed, but I don't expect this to be pursued for some time.
and I cant dismiss the participant list box.
It also occurs in landscape for my mobile. LG D335
And "request desktop site" does not work.
