Our company proudly and happily uses Phabricator for 2 years now. We use Azure and it would awesome if we could get rid of yet-another-use-account-base with this feature.

I believe it is very rare the case one wants to use an arcanist version different from server's. Perhaps for arcanist development purposes only. I'd say it should upgrade as soon as it notices server is newer.

Mind explaining why predictability is an issue here?

My team was bitten twice just today because of that. We expected arc would in fact re run unittests after a merge.

ArcanistMergeConflictLinter does 99% of the job and it is language agnostic. GrepLinter sounds like a very handy tool, IMO.

FYI: TurnKey folks are considering Phabricator as candidate appliance. I added myself as supporter. It would be supper if one of you guys supported it. I can drive the development if think it makes sense.

It could be leveraged by http://www.turnkeylinux.org/core.

Please make it more mobile friendly. Experience provided by Whatsapp would be great.
I think this would be great. I'd like to use it in my mobile phone as well as in my desktop. Current web qpp lacks native notification (at least in mobile).
Is there a native app?
I don't think so. How can I use that from my cellphone? Where are the chat rooms per project?

Well... for the 5 folks I know who want this feature... it would be really nice. But I guess there are thousands of companies using Office 365 (otherwise msft would shut it down). We would all benefit from it.

I'd like sorting in the "Visible to", "Editable by" and "Projects" fields in task edition pages.
Jul 30 2014
And yes, a bit differentiating projects might be useful. In fields "Visible to" and "Editible by" I'd like to get list of people ranked higher. In the "Projects" field, I'd like to get list of tags ranked higher.
So, the icon shows up, but the color doesn't.
I'd like to emphasize that the ideal would be Project differentiation. In my phab instance, we're using prefixes. E.g. [G] SomePeople to name the group of people, [T] MyTag, [L] LibBar, etc.
While editing a task:
I actually meant T1460.
I get that. Just afraid of T5654 becoming bigger and take too long.
I'd like to be able to diff between the version which I commented against the lastest version.

I second @phil's comment.

Just for the sake of clarification: data in MySql is NOT encrypted and there is no mechanism built-in in phab to do so. Correct?

The @generated tag work nicely for generators which you can force this string to appear. But you can't always do that. Here is a typical generated file header generated by Visual Studio Entity Framework:

I updated to HEAD successfully. I believe it may have been caused by a missing php restart.
I missed reloading php. I'll spare this task from any pt-br specifics. Future updates here: T5174: Add Portuguese (Brazil) to Phabricator.
I added src/infrastructure/internationalization/translation/PhabricatorPortugueseTranslation.php. I called arc liberate. I restarted phabricator (e.g phd {stop|start}) but I don't Portuguese available anywhere. What am I missing?

Pt-br is Brazilian Portuguese, BTW.
I can translate to pt-br. How do I help?
People using my phabricator instance complaining about the emails. They say they are unreadable, and they ignore the content and just click on the link shown.
What about a new mode: HTML vs plain?
I'll give it another try soon.

Let me take that back. I guess I as fooled by the browser cache. I disabled the cache and binary searched again. It seems rP3a81f8c68d2983231c978171135145a2c57a7e5f is the culprit.
Not really. :p

I'm using nginx (fwiw, apache was hosing my machine). Error file is empty. /var/log/nginx/access.log has a bunch of regular lines plus:
Sounds like it is generated, right? If so, is there a way to force regenerating it?
Where should I look at? Sorry, still learning.

Side question: is there a concept of Last Known Good commit? A point which everybody can sync to which is known to be stable? I pulled a few minutes ago and just hit this. Now I'm stuck.
Yep. Seems fixed. Thanks a bunch!
AFAIK rietveld/gerrit has something like this.
FYI: the change D9171: Fix binary/utf8 issues with Differential changeset parse cache shows an alert for files with Byte Order Mark. Visual Studio adds BOM for all files. These two things together make code review impossible for C# projects. Files with BOM no longer show up in code reviews.

OK. Can the expiration be taken care of by an app? I guess the reauth can't be. But expiration would already be very nice to have.
Apr 15 2014
Would you accept a patch for that?
Sounds like Phabricator should have an switch to turn on/off automatic expiration. This is a deal breaker for companies with sensitive code. Using shared secrets management becomes a no go.
Say I use AWS to authenticate on Phabricator. And my AWS account already has 2-factor auth enabled. Does Phabricator ask for 2-factor through AWS?
