I'm going to call this resolved and move errata to T10163, since I assume most people on this task mostly just wanted to know when the feature landed.

This is now live on this install.
Yeah -- we may be able to cheat a bit on usernames (although "@Evan Priestley" should also work), but can't cheat on project completion with # since #build more pylons and #build more supply depots should retrieve different results despite having a shared, multi-word prefix.
Oh hi @chad! Er, wait, I don't get any autocomplete love over here so I can't judge it one way or the other.
Have typeahead autocomplete @epriestley despite what the user types~
Mostly, users have a huge number of ways to interact with text: cursor keys, mouse, home/end keys, keystrokes like Ctrl+A and Ctrl+E, cut, paste, all the mouse-driven varieties of cut/paste, context menu actions like spelling correct, shift + everything listed so far to select stuff, dragging selected text, and multi-keystroke character input for non-latin languages. Javascript provides only indirect ways to guess how the user has performed mutations of the textarea, so we have to reconstruct and/or guess about a lot of behavior.
What are some of the things you anticipate?
well I do enjoy when @putnam stops by.
This thing is going to have a decade of bugs.

I'm not sure what you mean by "from the instance panel"? Is it the instance's regular config page?
Oh, I'll make this editable in the cluster from the instances panel. Change will go out on Saturday morning (about 36 hours from now).
Ah. I searched for something like this in config but forgot about the /config/all/ page.
We probably can't reasonably just attach the photo (That could end up big)

Great, thanks much for the incredible responsiveness 😄
At HEAD:
Oh! Well that would make perfect sense, then. I'll update D14984 to just clear all the headers that remarkup can emit.
I think h2 is the largest remarkup header? I've never seen an h1 in use.

Oh, the comment was a screenshot. Inline + width should work on this host now.
D14983 fixes the interaction between inline and width. I'll push it to this server and wipe the cache now, and the comment above should start working.
Doing a bit more digging here... layout=inline doesn't work if coupled with size=xx.
@epriestley Are you sure inline works?
{F60 width=160, layout=inline} {F60 width=160, layout=inline} {F60 width=160, layout=inline}maybe just hr and h2
I do think we could reasonably put clear: both on hr and probably headers. I think it used to run into some problems with tables of contents, but we never (I think?) put them inline anymore (maybe in readmes in Diffusion?) so we should be in the clear, now.
Yeah. I think:
you're using layout=inline
Wait this works now. Huh?
Yep, table works, thanks for the idea!

This is more than a year old now and we haven't seen other requests for it. Diffusion copy/pastes and links cleanly and I think this is sufficient in all reasonable cases I'm aware of.

See the documentation: sh -c `some subcommand`
Showing inline bash command snippets containing backticks seems like a pretty common usecase. The only workaround I found is to use the triple-backtick syntax but that takes up more space and breaks the flow of the text.

I have a more restricted use case, which is to proxy images from Phabricator-hosted Git repositories. For example, I'd like README.md in a repo to be able to reference images in the repo. without having to upload them as files.

I'm going to merge this into T8509 because it's directly adjacent, although this issue is slightly different.

Building something generalish here may be the best way to unblock D14802, and to reduce the amount of regression behavior from T9905 (I am missing the preview a little myself). I think we need click-to-preview in some cases (mobile, Conpherence) anyway, so my tentative plan is:

D12692 is nearly the correct patch for this (and will support mentions, file embeds, etc., although currently not Fixes http://example.com/T123, which is parsed somewhat separately -- but that is also fixable fairly easily), it just has some tricky regex/execution order stuff that hasn't quite been sorted out.
We should make sure to include mentions support too.
thx for deduping

T5397 is another copy of the pipes-in-tables issue.

I assume the use case for this is building tables in, e.g., Phriction documents with the status of various tasks.

From a first glance it looks like the renderer may be the issue (tested the font in phabricator with figlet installed via homebrew):

There isn't really one, all the applications that do it right are doing comments, and you can't do the same thing they're doing very easily. Audit does something but it's a mess. It should really just get restructured, I think.
So how do I fix this in Phame, Pholio, Ponder. I can't find a positive example.
