For example i have a sentence written in remarkup:
The Ford T1 platform is Ford Motor Company's large SUV automobile platform. It is based on the P2 platform used in the company's pickup trucks.

Can you give me an example of something you're having trouble formatting? See some previous discussion in T6357.
Depends entirely what "Other Tools" means. Conduit and Doorkeeper will be built in means of talking to external systems. Remarkup can certainly be expanding to offer more flexibility in writing content into Phabricator. Custom Fields and Event Listeners also allow for customization. Forking and maintaining patches are also what we recommend to people who need heavy integration/customization.
Can you please articulate other options in order to integrate Phabricator with other tools (apart from rewriting everything inside it) in order to give the user something like a portal (as it appears phabricator itself to be designed to)?
I'm genuinly interested in them
Yes, those are your options. We will never support this in the upstream.
If someone will be able to get administrator rights I think there will be a lot of "holes" to get in other than an HTML panel, and a lot more damage possible than just impersonating a user.

(To clarify, in case you can't see the original, I wrote that as two sets, separated by a blank line, one 1,2,3 and then another 1,2,3 again.)
...yes, see, like that. That seems broken. That is not what I wrote.
My biggest objection is actually to the renumbering — I numbered my bullets precisely so that I could refer to them by number later. So maybe there's a way to say, "hey, I'm about to combine two lists in a way that causes a numbered list to be renumbered" and just not do that?
We will never support an HTML panel type in the upstream. It can not be made secure.
We sure don't want to do that. Would either allow html in remarkup or create a new html panel type be something you'd consider?
They maintain a heavily modified fork.
Things you can do on Edit Task:
But what if the people you are trying to mention are not part of the project. But may need to be aware of a change coming in to API etc.
But what if the people you are trying to mention are not part of the project. But may need to be aware of a change coming in to API etc. Also, people may not wish to be watching projects in order to not get tons of email about all things going on in the project. Hence the mailing list request.
People use Projects to contain teams of people, and mentioning a Project associates to that Task to the Project. If a person is set as 'watching' the Project in addition to just being a member, they'll get instant notification.
You could use the same symbol as users? It makes logical sense since a mailing list is just a group of people. Another way to implement this feature would be to allow the creation of user groups (teams) that can then be referenced the same way users are in comments.

See D8703 for previous work. We currently assume that #security. is a slug named security. (with a period), and allow this as a side effect of allowing slugs like #blog.phacility.com, which seems reasonable (e.g., allowing project names to be domain names or domain-like strings).
Nope, Yup: this is what I mean
This reproduces with something as simple as

I'll accept a patch for this which allows lists in this style:
How about using tab completion to trigger the popup so that it doesn't have to be intelligent about when to pop up the list of names.
It looks like his headers match our if else statement when cacheable isn't set (date, etc). It looks like developer mode could trigger that, but I can't repro in my sandbox.
We set these headers explicitly here:
In general I think setting these aggressively (like +1 month) should be fine. For static resources like css/js we bundle them with a hash so you won't have old bundles when you upgrade Phabricator.
Light grepping the source, I don't see us setting these headers in PHP. I'd check your server settings, it looks like nginx default is off. I'm not sure how this install is configured, maybe @epriestley knows.
@chad it must be a misconfiguration somewhere on our end... i see both a "no cache" header and a past date for "expires":
When I have an image with an expiration in the past, it does cause us to reload the image each keystroke. I just can't replicate the issue with stock Phabricator.
My only thoughts are something server side (http) is causing the image to not cache in your browser? What do the response headers look like? Is the expiration in the future or past?
@chad i tried before and couldn't...
Does it reproduce on this install for you @shadowhand?
@epriestley sorry it took a while to follow up on this, but it's still happening after the upgrade.

(and I will add pink then) ?
I'm going to triage this to fixing indigo anyways.
We don't intend to provide this, we maintain two different color palettes for "tags" and "icons". I would recommend using indigo instead to match the pink in tags, which, is more pink than indigo anyways.
In our wiki of how projects should be labeled, coloured etc, we have icons to define the type, and then the colour to define a group.
Specifically, projects can be added via hashtags (#) for Remarkup purposes.
This is intentional, as pink is not a base ui color in Phabricator (and neither is checkered). Is there a reason you need it for Remarkup?
Ah, never mind, I understand now. It's exactly the thing I was doing.
What's the syntax for a multi-paragraph list item?
This is intentional. You can use triple backticks to differentiate between a code block after a list item and a multi-paragraph list item.
I'm not super positive this is the same issue at the core. But I think, maybe?
