As a Firefox user I have never experienced any trouble with the '/'-feature and was using it extensively. I would not mind any other key or combination being used for this.

Since we are in a situation where we have to maintain at least two different build systems added files are nearly as important as deleted files.
So i suggest treating added files similarly.
