carl added a comment to T4657: Add a one-click "Close" button to Maniphest.

Would you be up for having a similar button in a different location? The other obvious place that comes to mind is in the button list in the top right (http://i.avtok.com/image/0Z1w1h1k0U3R).

Yeah, the Github parallel is a big part of what we're looking for. Their "Close and comment" button is just really damn convenient, even if it doesn't save much time on an absolute scale. Also, as we're not yet Phabricator experts, it makes a very common action much more discoverable for people new to the product.

It's 80% boilerplate and 20% sketchy code for "snap to previous monday and format it as %Y-%m-d" (this is to implement barebones weekly milestone support). A date control with search and sorting/grouping support would have been about 100 times more cargo-cultable (or proxyable), but the code is already written :P

carl added a comment to T4434: Track object closed/completed date and actor.

To be clear, I'm less interested in who closed any given task (the task's owner is a very good approximation of this) and more interested in the close date.
