When writing a blog post, the previews don't have any styling on them.
Ideally we'd perhaps use the actual skin, but that's pretty tricky. Just putting a normal box with a white background on them would be a huge step forward in not looking obviously broken.

The actual skin would also be bad for a Medium-alike with a huge image of a tree or a house or whatever at the top since you couldn't preview it meaningfully.
