Maniphest Actions are improperly disabled/can lead to 404
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Wasn't exactly sure what to title this,

See the attached screencast,

Basically, a bunch of the actions for the task are disabled, some lead to silent 404's (via ajax), some still look like they work, and some lead to visible 404's.

None of these things should happen, it should show the denied by policy dialog.

This is all on this install (secure) on 12/8/2015

I can't edit my own task... it 404's

also, for some reason I couldn't include F1018337 in the original post?

I couldn't include F1018337 in the original post?

What does this mean -- did you get an error? What was the error?

Let me clarify,

I dragged the .mov file to the text-area.
What happened:

  1. Notification showed that it was uploading
  2. Showed that it completed chunked upload
  3. Nothing happened (was not added to the text area)
  4. mov file was uploaded, but only had the policy of Me

What I expected to happen:

  1. Notification that showed that it was uploading
  2. Showed that it completed chunked upload
  3. {F1234} was added to the text area
  4. File would have view policy of the task.

Nothing happened (was added to the text area)

Do you mean it was not added to the text area?

Ah, okay. I'm not sure what's going on there. I can't immediately reproduce that.

mov file was uploaded, but only had the policy of Me

This is expected. The file will be "Visible To: Only You" and "Attached: Txxx". Files are visible to a user if they can see the file naturally, or see any object the file is attached to. Since I can see this task, I would be able to see the file, no matter what the file visibility policy was set to. You can click the policy link in the file header for an explanation of this.

(This is an ongoing source of confusion but I don't have a fix for it other than putting 5 paragraphs of text in the header or removing the element completely, and I don't want to do either one.)

I can't seem to repro it either, might have been the issue with the edit route you fixed?
