Description

Not sure if this is required/useful. Seems like something that might come in handy if you typed google instead of google.com.

Not sure that is needed, on intranets you can have sites like "http://someserver/some_folder/and.file" which isn't a valid public URL but is valid.

I don't think we actually need, this at least for now. We can look at it again later if we get more feedback about users making these sorts of errors, but it seems unlikely (I think?) that a use would type google and expect it to work.
