Closed, WontfixPublic

Description

Minor, but in big rooms I don't want to hunt to remove myself. Viewer should always sort to top.

Maybe we need a "leave room" (or thread) action additonally or instead?

Oh, there's a task for this. T7765 is closely related.

I also think "Leave Room" sounds pretty good if we have a reasonable place in the UI to put it. It's not immediately obvious to me that I'd leave a room by X-ing myself off the participant list, even though the interaction makes sense if you know about it.

Not sure we need to do anything else here, it seems better now that the heads are smaller and the X is bigger. I don't think we have any feedback that leaving is difficult.

A particular case where leaving is difficult is in the column, although trying to address that right now is probably putting the cart before the horse as I imagine we're somewhat likely to either get per-room menus or participant lists or both there.

Alrighty...! :D I'll just tackle T7765 then. (I'll add some thoughts there once I get in the a bit though the short version is alphabetical seems best to me based on how I think we store data right now...)

Ah, I think I've been thinking of the column as "Conpherence Lite", that is, it has the most important features but not really all. If leaving a room is important to have there, or participants, I can think about that a bit. I'm also not super happy with the Room Switcher as it visually feels like a participants list more than a list of Rooms to move between. Not sure what the answer there is, but even just removing the switcher seems like better than having a confusing one. Maybe only I've found it confusing though.

T7254 might help there? I would guess that most rooms with some sort of permanence in an organization would get a custom image.
