Better breadcrumb navigation
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

When I select Projects, and then select a particular project, I no longer have any breadcrumb navigation. To get to another project I have to click on the Phabricator text to get back to home, then I have to select projects from the menu to select another project to look at. It would be easier to have breadcrumbs at the top of the project page that I could just back up to the projects home in order to select another project to view. This same problem exists elsewhere throughout the app. A good breadcrumb system would let me move around the app and backup to any stage quickly by using the breadcrumb navigation.

Can you name a few other examples?

Maybe it should better be worded that while using the product I keep finding myself removed from the context I was working in and have to move all the way back to home and start over. For example, when in a project board, now create a new task. You are removed from any project context and you create the task. When done creating the task you have to go back to home, select projects, select the project and get back to the board.

I understand that Maniphest is a different app than Projects, but a truly integrated experience would maintain a breadcrumb as I create my new task while being on a project board so that after creating the task, I could quickly move back to the project board via the breadcrumb navigation rather than having to start over each time. This would help when navigating across apps, or in the case of projects, navigating within it as first mentioned.

Click on the down arrow on the column you wish to create a task for. You won't leave the board.
