Pull of repo failed after deleting branch on GitHub + pushing commits
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I have a repository which is mirrored from GitHub. After deleting a branch on GitHub and pushing some commits, I'm now seeing this error when Phabricator tries to update the repository:

Pull of "PB" failed: git fetch failed with error #128: stdout: stderr:error: insufficient permission for adding an object to repository database ./objects fatal: failed to write object fatal: unpack-objects failed

This is almost certainly a disk error with file permissions. Check the user you're running the daemons as, the repo permissions, etc.

hach-que claimed this task.

I ran chown -R git:wwwgrp-phabricator . in the storage folder which fixed it. Although it is a little concerning that it started happening for no reason (and has been working fine for ages).
