Relative dates for saved searches
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

I'd love it if saved searches could have relative dates, e.g. "2 months ago", "1 week ago", etc. In bugzilla the format is "2m", "2w", "2d", "2h". (I'm not sure if we'd want years, also.)

This task is a little vague. Are you requesting just searches, all of Phabricator, just for your account, etc? The only task we have of a similar vein is T418, which would let an install customize what their individual task cards look like.

This already works. "2 months ago" and "1 week ago" both work exactly like that.

Oh maybe I misread, I thought the request was for the datestamps returned from the search.

Specifically, when we visited, @liza requested this and then executed a working relative date search, so I assume this was just from an out-of-date list of requests.

liza claimed this task.

Yep, I think it's from an old list. :-( Sorry.

P.S. I love that searching for "3 months ago" works, and I use it a lot. :)

No problem!

We're also updating this control a bit in connection with work on Calendar, so I think it will look like this soon:

Start Date: [___2014/05/01] [#] [12:34]
                             ^
                             |
                             +-- Date Picker

When that does happen, you can still type "3 months ago" into the left-hand box and it will work the same way, we're just trying to make it easier to use normal dates as well.

Cool!

It would be nice if there were a tooltip or hint or something to help people discover "3 months ago".
