Feature request: more user-friendly installation
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

I'm trying to get people in my team at work to test Phabricator for code reviews. However, when I looked at the installation steps for Arcanist on Windows, my heart sank. These people are deeply windows-centric, and I was thinking that making them actually use the command line would be hard enough. But installing PHP (by hand), copying and editing configuration files, cloning multiple git repositories, adding multiple directories to the path is just *way* too much work to get this running.

So what I'm asking for is basically a Windows installer that takes care of all this, but a good first step would be (instructions for how to create) an Arcanist archive with a self-contained private PHP installation that could be extracted into a single directory and with a single binary directory to add to the path (ideally without the PHP binary, to prevent conflicts with other PHP installations on the same system).
