- As user A, create a revision.
- As user B, commandeer the revision.

Although this wording is a little unclear, commandeering makes you the author. A more precise wording would be something like "The current author for this revision is X. It was created on Y." but that's clunky and only smooths out this particular case.
Normally, commandeering should be rare, and the sequence of events is evident from the edit timeline. We haven't seen other users encounter confusion with this.
If you have a use case where commandeering is common or this is particularly confusing or unclear, please file a feature request describing it instead (see Contributing Feature Requests). If you're frequently commandeering, we might prefer to find a workflow which does not require commandeering.
