There are some items, like blogs, which we would like to be creatable, but not so prominently creatable. Having a large quick create menu is a bit daunting for some of our less technical staff (who work on content for our software, graphics, etc., and are not as technically minded). Our current workaround is to restrict creation to administrators only. This solves the problem, but increases the administrative burden.

It would be nice if forms could be removed from the quick create menu without actually revoking permission to use them, so objects could still be created by going into the appropriate application.
