I can't immediately reproduce this in iOS Simulator or on my physical iPhone 4s. What hardware/OS version are you seeing it on?

I tried a couple of other devices in the simulator but couldn't get a repro -- can you try this to get a JS trace?

• Connect your phone to your laptop via USB.
• On your phone, go to Settings → Safari → Advanced.
• Turn on the Web Inspector setting.
• Enable the Safari "Develop" menu on your laptop if you haven't already (Preferences → Advanced → Show Develop menu in menu bar).
• Reproduce the issue on the phone.
• On your laptop, use Develop → (phone name) → (tab name) to pull up the JS console for the tab.
• Check for JS errors?
