Is it possible to run the Phabricator daemons (phd) in the foreground?

Is it possible to run the Phabricator daemons (phd daemons) in the foreground (preferably not redirecting their output into a logfile), i.e. not using ./bin/phd start? It seems even ./bin/phd launch ... executes them in the background, sending output to /var/tmp/phd/log/daemons.log?

This appears to be useful when running phd via systemd, or when running Phabricator inside containers.

If it is not possible yet, shall I open a task for it, or is this not a usecase Phacility wants to support?

It is not possible. This is not a use case we want to support.
