We close 40-50 tickets per month as "duplicate". It seems some of these could be headed off if people remembered to search for their feature first.

I'm fine with giving this a shot.
A vague concern is that it's a lot easier to merge tasks than to split them, and I'd rather have 40 duplicates / month which we merge correctly than 10 cases /month of users adding totally unrelated problems to existing tasks just because they share some keywords.
