Duplicates commits after doing git reset

Description

When viewing a task commits that were deleted in the git repository still appear. Is there a way that Phabricator remove the commits that doesn't exist in the git repository anymore?

Some discussion in, e.g, T9028, but we don't plan to ever actually delete these commits. They may have comments, audit status, meaningful relationships to other objects, builds, build artifacts, etc.
