Phabricator's builtin editor supports two kinds of Lists: numbered and unordered:

Both just enter the symbols - and # in the next line, relative to the current cursor position.
Often when these elements are used, multiple elements have to be inserted. When one enters the first element and presses Enter, a new, blank line is started.

It would be better in that situation, if the next line again would start with another - or # instead, so one can type all the points right away.
