Description

Every time I do arc diff, arcanist prints an ugly blue SKIP STAGING with the message Phabricator does not support staging areas for this repository.. I assume this is because my repository is using mercurial. Is there a way to disable this message?

There is no way to disable this.

(You could comment it out locally.)

Why? Am I missing something? Isn’t it annoying for mercurial users?

This happens for svn too, but I can't say it's bothered me. I certainly don't find it to be a helpful message though either. The first time I saw it, I had to come here and look up what it indicated and whether or not I should care.

What does it mean actually? Is it a warning? Is there some way to set up staging? What is staging?
