Support creating calendar events from the person page
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

It would be helpful if I could create calendar events right from my person's calendar page.

Currently, changing my availability/status to away is not obvious – it took me quite a while to figure out that create calendar event also affects my availability. There was no button to change my status on my person's page, and on my my person's calendar page there is no button to create an event, either. So my first assumption was that the calendar prototype does not yet implement this in the GUI and I should give up. Only by accident I discovered there is a button in the calendar application.

Sorry, we don't accept feature requests for prototype applications like Calendar. This document explains prototype applications and why we don't accept feature requests for them in more detail:

https://secure.phabricator.com/book/phabricator/article/prototypes/

I would say my report classifies as a Use Case, in addition to indicating General Interest…

It is written in the style of a Feature Request though, I agree. I can change that, if you like.

You can create a Calendar Event from the Quick Create Menu (+ in the header) on any page. This task isn't a good fit for Calendar.

Sorry, meant to complete that sentence. Isn't a good fit since where Calendar may be after the prototype will likely be dramatically different than it is today.

Ok. I hope my feedback helps you somehow to improve the Calendar after prototype.
