Moving items from a long workboard column to a short one is hard
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Let's say you have a workboard with Column A and Column B.

Column A has 50 tasks. Column B has two tasks.

If you want to move a task from the bottom of column A to Column B, it is almost impossible to do. You have to drag the task to the top of column A (which is really hard, since you can only kind of sort of get the page to scroll a little by dragging the task to the top of the browser window) and then drag it to column B. This makes it really painful to manage workboards that have columns of unequal length. Unless there's a way to do this that I'm missing?

Are you perhaps using a Mac? Our OSX users seem to have (as an average) more difficulties moving cards to areas out of their current windows, one factor being that keyword arrows won't help (which is what at least in Linux works flawlessly).

Ah -- I'm on Windows, and the keyboard arrows thing is a useful trick, thanks! but ~99% of our users are on Mac, so it doesn't really help the rest of the company as much. It would be good if the drag and drop operation just put the card on the bottom of the destination column even if there's no card directly above it, that would resolve the issue.
