Description

For some reason autocomplete doesn't let me specify an archived project.

It should show it if there are no un-archived results. You may need to make your query fairly specific. Is that not working?

Running bin/search index --type PROJ --all miiight also fix it.

(That's not quite the right interface in the screenshot, but it works for me on the burnup chart too, on this install.)

No it really doesn't work as of right now:

$ search index --type PROJ --all
Run this workflow with "--background" to queue tasks for the daemon workers.
Indexing 137 object of type PROJ.
Done.

Didn't help.

What do you mean by "You may need to make your query fairly specific"?

I mean that the archived projects won't show as long as there's at least one un-archived match.

For example, I would expect "android bluetooth" to show the archived project, but "android" not to.

Ah you're right, I just need to type enough letters to work around the ambiguity and it works.

I'm not sure this is the best behavior (we played with a couple of variants when we built it, and this one "felt" best, but isn't quite as obvious as other rules). I'll keep an eye open for other reports and we might tweak this. It seems to be working fairly well for the most part, though, and is much better than the old behavior (which was: inconsistently, either show or don't show disabled results based on nothing, with no indication of which ones are disabled).

So one thing you could do is display a hint at the bottom of the completion menu like "Archived projects only appear if typing their entire name" (even if not technically correct since you need to type enough letter, it's easier to explain and understand).
