Linking to a wiki URL with % encoding in the URL breaks the link
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Linking directly to a wiki page with

[[/w/projects/ushahidi_lamu_%28v3%29/changelog/v3-0-0-beta-1/]]

{F165609}

to get a link to v3.0.0-beta.1 wiki page results in the link having the % encoding signs removed:

{F165612}

bypassing it with complete URL like

[[https://phabricator.ushahidi.com/w/projects/ushahidi_lamu_%28v3%29/changelog/v3-0-0-beta-1/ | v3.0.0-beta.1 changelog]]

works as expected, with the % signs being retained.

I can't reproduce this on this install. I'm typing this:

[[/w/projects/ushahidi_lamu_%28v3%29/changelog/v3-0-0-beta-1/]]

Right here:

/w/projects/ushahidi_lamu_%28v3%29/changelog/v3-0-0-beta-1/

...which retains the % symbols in my browser. Is that not the case for you?

(They're retained for me in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari on OSX.)

It only breaks if Phabricator is able to resolve the wiki link to a wiki page.
