Send emails to project members when a new Maniphest is created
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

We have a couple of projects on our install which represent a team of people. I feel that if a maniphest is assigned to one of these projects, it seems logical to trigger an email to all of the project members. Currently I do this with a herald rule, but I almost feel as if this should be the default (opt-out) behavior.

This sounds right for Herald, not sure this should be some default for all projects in the upstream. Additionally people can "watch" projects they are members of even without setting the Herald rule (for emails).

Oh. Would Would watching a project cause an email to be sent for all new tickets?

Yes, but each person has to individually join the project and watch the project. Then you get lots of spam by default.

joshuaspence claimed this task.

OK. That's a better solution in our case. Thanks
