As Workboards mature, this will certainly continue to come up. I'm not completely clear how we'll address it, but there are plans to build a better /projects/ landing page in T4011 as well as fix the homepage in general in T3583

My preference right now is building Workboards into a separate application vs. overloading Projects with tons of options

I'm going to close this in favor of T4890. I think the future is most likely one of:

  • workboards are a separate app; or
  • project homepages are a dashboard; or
  • project homepages are always workboards (or, default to workboards and can be replaced by a dashboard, or something).

Those all seem much more likely to me than adding specific options here, so I think T4890 / T4011 cover this.
