We upgraded to a newer version of Phabricator recently and our bug reporting logic no longer works. Our bug reporting code works by including a Conduit certificate of a system agent alongside the software; when an exception occurs, we use this Conduit certificate to create a new task.
Previously the task would have an edit policy (due to default application settings) that would prevent the Conduit certificate from editing tasks after creating them (or editing other unrelated tasks). With the newer version of Phabricator it now checks to see if the user has the edit policy before the task is created, which breaks this use case.
Since this is a public Conduit certificate, I don't really want to give it more permissions than it really needs (and it only needs to create tasks, not edit them).
Can we have an option to disable this checking logic for system agents, or some other manner to create tasks that can't be edited afterwards (via Conduit)?
