Clickable panel titles
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The panel titles do not have any function, and they could do more than just add verbosity.

Many panels are results of queries. It is obvious that when I click on a title I could be presented with a dedicated view on this query. Some panels are not queries they just have a title, but they could be custom links to various places in and outside Phabricator. In fact, all panel titles could have a custom function.

I like how it's done in the list views "Drafts" and "Blogs" in Phame. You can click the title there to get the full query results.

In a Dashboard, it would be nice to specify a custom link somehow. I am not sure if it would be nice to enable markup in the title. This would solve it and enable more features, but possibly break look & feel.

Event Timeline

We already provide a link in the form of the on Panels directly to the query.

Oh, yes. I wonder why I did not notice this. Why doesn't the panel "Recent Tasks" on Dashboard 8 have a ?

I still think that clickable titles would be nicer, because I find myself hovering the mouse pointer over the titles sometimes to check if there is a visual feedback.

It's a tab panel, not a query panel.

chad claimed this task.

Since the same root problem you described was solved with adding the query icon and link, I'm going to close this out. Overall having this in it's own element lends to better discoverability, and solves the right problem vs. just hiding it in the header. Adding to both is possible, but falls under "Design Feedback" which we don't take as tasks on (see T10208).
