The major UI change for Conpherence v2 is the addition of a persistent chat column. This mostly works today, but is blocked by:
- **Quicksand** (T7573): Ajax navigation. There's a lot of work left on this.
- **Many UI Glitches**: The thing is still kind of a glitchy mess and needs a bunch of fixes.
- **Major Product Changes**: We probably shouldn't ship this until completing some of the other product changes, like rooms (T7566), because they'll impact the design a lot.
To set expectations, I think this is probably the //last// or nearly the last thing that will become shippable, because it depends on most of the other changes and has the most glitchy JS blockers.
It is currently in good shape for testing and development, but activating it essentially guarantees you'll hit a major glitch within 15 seconds.
