This is more annoying than it seemed initially. It is quite normal that users want to place a new task in their right column right after creating it (or right after someone has created it). Since no "Backlog" link is available in the task, you always need to go first to project, then to workboard, unless you bother about retrieving the final URL via browser history.

Now that I see the "Reload" trick, the whole task becomes simpler, but there is enough evidence that users won't deduce this. In fact it is not uncommon to see that new users simply think that there is no link from the task view to the workboard. See a recent example: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T78218
