Diffusion repository hosting documentation improvements
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Some things I noticed when reading through the Diffusion repository hosting documentation / guide at http://www.phabricator.com/docs/phabricator/article/Diffusion_User_Guide_Repository_Hosting.html :

It talks about *having to use* the port 22. Now I wonder. Diffusion does have configuration keys for ssh username and ssh port, so I would guess I can use whichever I want and then configure them accordingly.
The documentation should probably make port 22 an example rather than declaring it a necessity.

Better yet, I would guess a non-22 port as a default for the guide would be way less error-prone, lock-outs less likely. One will not have to change the existing sshd configuration but only add an additional one.

The guide seems to entirely miss the diffusion configuration of ssh username and port, which I guess is necessary for the correct display of the clone URL in diffusion.

The guide does not explain why the daemons are in need of adjustment. Adding this information would prevent confusion.
