Wikipedia search engine not updating from transcluded sources
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I'm currently working on correcting the spelling of "subgenre" in Wikipedia, and while the search engine updates with ordinary changes within several seconds, it does not do so for those that come from transcluded sources. E.g., I updated the "Jazz" article on 21 December, but the spelling "sub-genre" still appears in the search engine results.

I think you meant to report this to Wikimedia, at https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/

This (https://secure.phabricator.com/) is the Phabricator upstream -- we work on Phabricator itself, and can't help you with Wikipedia-related issues.

@qgil might be able to better route this if I missed anything.

See, e.g., T4214 for some plans to allow installs to better customize how Phabricator looks so it's more clear which install you're on.

@DocWatson42, this task should be filed under the CirrusSearch project in Wikimedia Phabricator.
